About Us:

Where & Why:
Founded in Brisbane (Australia) in 1985. PosView saw a global need for busy enterprises to access Business Technology at affordable prices. The main purpose of PosView is to develop products that deliver both reliability and affordability.

The above sounds simple enough, but with trends for factories to focus on cost-cutting and design engineers focused on planned obsolescence, we have to not just design and deliver value against the trend, but to also allow our customers to compete with the multinationals and chain stores against their often unjust bulk buying power.

We research and develop products and software for SOHO and SME.



History:
Back in 1985 the founders knew that many businesses were being unfairly handicapped through hardware vendors blaming software vendors and vice versa. The founders also knew that both vendors should cooperate, as it is the unity of the technologies that the business needs and blame-passing is never productive.

To deliver solutions, PosView focused on software being hardware independent and went through both the Y2K and GST changes attracting over 1,000 clients a month due to ease of use and low cost on average of about $69.

Eventually PosView chose to scale down the R & D on software due to high cost and low return due to customers being satisfied. That is, PosView sid their job too well and customers had no reason to upgrade, they were happy with the product. This slowly terminated the cash-flow for software as Australia is a very finite market.

Recently PosView chose to revisit their software as over time the market has changed and so have the expectations of the users, so our superior hardware solutions now need new software and we have begun researching this. Therefore PosView will persist at delivering what we believe is a fair and workable business solution, with well proven hardware and software for SOHO and SME operators.



Who we are:
PosView’s team consists of skilled professionals experienced in all types of technology deployed in business.

All in the team are ever-learning and some have been involved in the industry since the late 60's, giving the team an in-depth understanding of all the technologies required to deliver the very best value in business technology.



Quality Control:
To put it simply, QC today is easy in theory but not so easy in practice due to the need to compete on a global basis. Using factories in developing countries requires our people to be constantly examining and implementing experienced methodology and often even installing the necessary equipment along with training. Our end result is what counts and we invite constructive criticism of all our products.

Therefore, we accepted there are plenty of solutions if you have plenty of money, but no real solution for start-up or need-to-be-thrifty businesses such as SOHO and SME. Delivering solutions for such markets has been avoided by others because it is a hard-to-deliver-to market area. We will continue to research, develop and supply Computers, Touch Screens, Monitors, Docket Printers, Thermal, Barcode, Scanners, All-in-One PC, Cashdrawers and Phone Systems for SOHO and SME businesses.
